Dear Hour of Harvest friends,

Warm greetings in Jesus name.  I trust that the grace and peace of God is increasing in your life.  We have great opportunity before us to reach our neighbors and the nations with the Gospel of hope. In these days of chaos, conflict, confusion, and corruption, people are concerned about the future in this life. There is a greater awareness of Jesus’ return.

On April 5, Ronda and I leave for a one month trip to the Philippines.  Pastors Romy and Edgardo are working with a group of pastors and preparing for a five day crusade in the small city of San Carlos on Negros Island. San Carlos has a population of 125,000 and there are quite a number of barrios surrounding the city.  We are praying and fasting for the kingdom of God to come into the hearts of many people.  There is a lot of darkness that has been brought by religious and witchcraft spirits. Through much prayer and fasting, the demonstration and power of God is released to these precious people for whom Jesus Christ was crucified.  Also, we'll be conducting conferences in Calatrava and Cebu as well as ministering to students, the churches, leaders, and evangelizing.

Would you pray for the release of God's love and power?  How?   Let’s have informed intercession. We take the information of God's promises and combine that with the needs of people and then enter into intercession, praying from our position with Christ in the heavenlies. It is important to be informed, then intercede, believing God to release HIS love and HIS power to individuals and to nations.

I remember growing up on the farm and looking heavenward for rain during the droughts.   In a similar way, people are plants that need water and sun from heaven.  A farmer may be well equipped with an education in agriculture, and have the best of equipment, seeds, good soil, and hard trained workers, but it is to no avail if the seedlings have no rain.  We need the outpouring of God's spiritual rain to come to the dying plants (all those without Christ, including precious Filipinos).  Please join with us as we look heavenward asking God for rain in the time of latter rain.  Zech.10:1 says, “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to everyone grass in the fields.” KJV

We want to see God’s hand stretch forth from heaven to earth.  Matt.6:10 says, “Thy kingdom come.”  People are saved, healed, and delivered through the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom of God.  See Matt.12:28: “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”  What happens when the kingdom of God comes?  Read Acts 4: 29-31: “And now Lord behold their threatenings; and grant unto thy servants that with all boldness that they may speak thy word, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done  by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”  KJV

Thus, to see the release of God’s love and power, we learn from the Scriptures that it is very important to have informed intercession asking God:  1) for the rain cloud of the Lord’s presence, 2) for the kingdom of God to come forth, 3) for the hand of the Lord to be upon the people, and 4) for the healing Power of Jesus.  Remember that in the beginning of creation, the Spirit of God was upon the earth, and God spoke the word of creation.

During one of the past crusades in the Philippines, there were about twenty five crippled people standing in a line in front of the platform. When the creative word of God was spoken, the Holy Spirit fell upon the cripples and they all took off walking at the same time. Totally healed by Jesus.  Much prayer and fasting is vital to see notable miracles like that take place.
